Irvine Pony Youth Baseball

Irvine Pony baseball began its spring season with an opening day parade, festivities and scrimmage games Saturday. Opening Day was celebrated at Harvard Community Park with more than 1,200 players present for the parade and ceremony. Every player and coach was ecstatic to dawn their uniforms in the parade with hundreds of parents flashing pictures in the wings.

Mayor Pro Tem Larry Agran, Councilwoman Christina Shea and Council member, Dr. Steven Choi were in attendance. Each council member gave a brief inspirational speech ending with Larry Agran throwing out the first pitch. Families enjoyed the children’s activities, sponsorship booths and raffle prizes. Each team, from the Miteball to Pony Divisions, was given 20 minutes to play a scrimmage game and the Chick-Fil-A cow who decided to play in a Mite-Ball game. Below, we have one the Irvine Pony All Star Teams that had a great 2012 run. GREAT JOB BOYS!
